Helping industries to become more sustainable
All industries are facing the major challenge of saving energy and drastically reducing their carbon footprints. Ambitious efforts are underway, and RATH is intensively supporting its customers. RATH attaches great importance to continuous research and development – be it innovative products for refractory linings or hot gas filter elements for filtering particle-laden industrial flue gases.
RATH application engineers also know the metal industry’s requirements and processes down to the last detail. The refractory lining of furnaces has a major influence on their energy efficiency and RATH can offer sound advice on improvement measures and innovative insulation concepts, which increasingly focus on state-of-the-art “lightweight” refractory linings with ceramic high-temperature modules. The “combi-module” developed by RATH incorporates two materials and has always combined cost-effectiveness and energy efficiency in one product.
Innovation is also a top priority at RATH when it comes to hot gas filtration. For many years, the company has been developing innovative ceramic hot gas filter elements that make it possible to filter particle-laden industrial flue gases at temperatures of up to 1000 °C and to reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides. Recently, RATH has doubled its production capacity for both catalytic and non-catalytic hot gas filter elements at its Meißen production facility in Germany. RATH can produce 25,000 pieces of filter elements per year up to a length of six meters from its own fiber. The new production line is already in operation and running at the highest efficiency level.
