Pfeiffer Vacuum, a leading provider of vacuum technology, is launching the new SpeedAir 3050 leak tester, a complete solution for testing non-porous containers in the pharmaceutical industry. The SpeedAir provides a CCIT solution for a wide range of products: The leak tester can test all flexible and rigid containers, as well as liquid and solid products, quickly and accurately. In just 30 to 45 seconds, the SpeedAir delivers results quickly and efficiently. This ensures the leak-tightness of containers for pharmaceutical products.

Non-destructive testing

Unlike alternative methods that focus on individual areas or access points, the SpeedAir offers a holistic approach to non-destructive testing of containers. The method complies with ASTM standard F3287-17 and, as a result, independent third-party laboratories have proven the measurement accuracy of its air-based technology down to 1 micron defect size.

For liquid products, the SpeedAir features highly sensitive air-based technology. This provides reproducible and reliable results and eliminates the risk of false negative or false positive results.

The SpeedAir meets all requirements of the relevant industry standards. The instrument uses USP <1207> approved Mass Extraction technology and operates with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliant software, ensuring that test procedures meet the highest regulatory standards.
