In order to reduce the cost of manufacturing pancake coil copper tube, many copper tube producers are installing automatic handling and packaging systems in the production line. However, due to the problem of coils sticking and intertwining together during heat treatment, it has been difficult to fully automate the process directly following the furnace. Otto Junker has developed a range of continuous roller hearth furnaces which eliminate the problem of sticking and intertwining and allows the coils to be handled easily by pick and place robots and similar devices.
