Personnel change in the Board of Management of SHS – Stahl-Holding-Saar

06.03.2020. Peter Schweda (62) is resigning and retiring from his post as Chief Human Resources Officer and Labor Director of AG der Dillinger Hüttenwerke (Dillinger) and Saarstahl AG, and as a Managing Director of SHS – Stahl-Holding-Saar, with effect from 30 June 2020. The Supervisory Boards of the companies appointed Jörg Disteldorf (42) to succeed Peter Schweda for a period of 5 years, with effect from 1 July 2020. Disteldorf will serve as a member of the Board of Management in the function of Chief Human Resources Officer and Labor Director of Dillinger and Saarstahl, and as a Managing Director of SHS – Stahl-Holding-Saar.

Career

Schweda has been Chief Human Resources Officer and Labor Director of Dillinger and Saarstahl since 2011 and a member of the Board of Management of SHS – Stahl-Holding-Saar since 2016. Jörg Disteldorf has been employed in the Human Resources department at Dillinger since 2003, in addition to serving as Head of Human Resources and Social Affairs at Saarstahl and Dillinger since 2015. He has also been Managing Director and Labor Director at Saarschmiede GmbH Freiformschmiede since 2019.

“On behalf of the supervisory bodies, I would like to thank Peter Schweda for his tireless dedication and efforts to further develop the Saarland steel industry as the region’s most important employer and vocational trainer. He has always stood for the inter-generational contract in the Saarland steel industry, which is especially invoked in economically challenging times. Now he is fulfilling his part of the contract and passing his duties on to Jörg Disteldorf,” explained Reinhard Störmer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Dillinger and Saarstahl.

 

“Mr. Disteldorf has closely accompanied the strategy process and he co-defined the targets and measures. With the office of Chief Human Resources Officer, he now assumes responsibility for the beginning company phase of the human resources management measures and for the achievement of the agreed targets. We wish Peter Schweda all the best for his future and Jörg Disteldorf great success in his new position,” Störmer added.
