The latest issue of Heat Processing is here!

Sustainable and climate-neutral production is currently the hot topic in the metallurgy, thermal engineering and casting industries. These industries are leading the way with innovative technological solutions. This is also demonstrated by the metal trade fair quartet GIFA,  METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST, which will once again become the hub of the international foundry and metallurgy industry from June 12 to 16, 2023, under the slogan “The Bright World of Metals.” More than 2,100 exhibitors from all over the world will use the leading trade fairs to demonstrate the performance capabilities of the industries with their machines, plants and services and to exchange views on the burning issues of the day, such as energy efficiency, the circular economy or digitalization.

The companies are facing what is probably the greatest transformation of all time with the goal of climate neutrality by 2050 at the latest. The “green metamorphosis” of the economy and society towards climate neutrality will not be possible at all without cast components! However, the foundry industry is one of the most energy-intensive industries with associated high CO2 emissions. The technological innovations on display in the twelve exhibition halls of GIFA, METEC, THEMPROCESS and NEWCAST will impressively show us what is already possible today and what the future holds in store. In this context, the “Bright World of Metals” is an important impetus and pacesetter for the industries. With Messe Düsseldorf’s ecoMetals campaign, the trade fair quartet is putting the spotlight on sustainable technological innovations by companies.
